The Greater London International Airport Authority (GLIAA) is seeking individuals to fill the following positions.
Manager, Business Development
Greater London International Airport Authority
Reporting to the President & CEO, the Manager, Business Development is responsible for the strategic and tactical planning effort to increase passenger and cargo airline services by developing business plans and developing customer and competitor research to support the Airport’s plans; delivers presentations to passenger and cargo airline service decision makers; evaluates and analyzes the effectiveness of the Airport’s current and long-range passenger and cargo airline services marketing programs. The incumbent will actively pursue and secure new routes while expanding on existing cargo and passenger air service capacity at the London International Airport.
Qualifications/Skills Required
- 5 years of experience within the aviation industry or in marketing, sales or business development
- a working knowledge and experience of air carrier operations or route development and aviation marketing including air service development is preferred
- any combination of training, education and experience equivalent to a University Degree in Marketing, Business or a related field
- proven ability to develop positive business relationships and create effective contacts yielding positive synergy
- excellent interpersonal skills coupled with strong presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate in person and in writing
- the ability to interact intellectually with all levels of management and in several different environments (geographically, socially and professionally). Possesses not only business and technical strengths but also comfortable engaging people in social environments.
- proficient with researching, analyzing and presenting data to identify and engage potential carriers
- ability to obtain and maintain Airport Security Clearance
- possess a valid driver’s licence and current passport – ability to travel within North America and Internationally
- able to operate common office equipment, including personal computer
- detail oriented individual with excellent organizational skills a necessity
