London International Airport Gets its Wireless Wings

Staying connected to work and home while travelling is becoming more and more critical. London International Airport is helping you keep in touch with the introduction of high-speed wireless Internet access from Telus Mobility.

Included in London International Airport’s new terminal upgrades is a Telus Mobility Wi-Fi hotSpot. Wi-Fi is the commercial name for 802.11b wireless technology, which uses unlicensed radio frequency in the 2.5Ghz band. This frequency provides a wireless connection to the Internet for anyone that has an antenna – either in the form of a PC networking card or built right into a laptop or PDA (personal digital assistant).

All you need is a Wi-Fi (802.11b) wirelessly enabled laptop or PDA. Just set your SSID to:

...and launch your browser. You’ll be automatically redirected to our login page, where you can create your account, add time, and connect – it’s as simple as one, two, three. For those requiring Ethernet connection, you can find it in our departures lounge.
